Mar-Val food store sold us tri tip enchiladas. They were warm, not over cooked, not sitting too long on the heat shelf and tasted very good. They were reasonably priced. Thank you Mar-Val staff for your neighborly service with a smile.
They have a deli & tri-tip sandwiches. One ordered with BBQ sauce on the side. I went in to pick it up. The lady was making it. Looked around with lots of tasty bakery items snd much more. Received shortly later and went to check out. The worker was kind. Paid for it with good day wishes! Lunchtime! Tri-tip sandwich split. My half was Really DELICIOUS! Tender meat, fresh veggies and tasty BBQ sauce! Mother felt the same! Good service, store & Great Tri-Tip sandwich! Highly recommended!
So good! Stopped in to grab a sandwich before heading home. Spent the last three nights at Nelson Lakes doing some backpacking and fishing. Worked in grocery for 33 years so I notice the small things in many stores. So first it's clean and well stocked, we were greeted politely...always nice. At the deli counter we were promptly asked if we needed some help with a smile, order given and made my to the restrooms which were clean. Picked up our food and waited a short time in the line and quickly got checked out with a smile. We ate outside at one of the two tables provided. Oh yeah, the tri-tip sandwiches are really good. Last words...so easy.
Great store in prather to shop they have hard to find items one might be looking for and the staff is great and friendly I've been shopping here for 4 year's since I retired
Local, friendly, clean, offers everything markets in town have to offer, however despite prices being slightly higher members of our community find it's validated by not having to make the commute to Fresno or Clovis. It's the CHEER'S of Prather,CA. For it's a place to go when you're looking for a place where everybody knows your name.
Pricey but carries the essentials, saving us an hour of drive time to Fresno. Good discounts to be had around the store if you hunt a little: discounted bakery, deli, meats, dairy, produce shelves, etc. I mainly go there for discounted items.
Good store, fair prices. Love most of the workers they have a great attitude. I wish they had a little more selection
This grocery store is super convenient, great tri tip steaks either ready to bbq or already done in the deli. Delicious!
This is a great local store. Lot's of items to choose from. The Deli is great too, sandwiches, The Best Fried chicken on the mountain. And other assorted fresh items that you are going to want to try. Great variety of snacks, produce, and drinks, stock up before heading up to the lake. Easy access, fast check out by live people instead of self check out. They also sell boxes of firewood, and have a never ending supply of ice for those hot summer says out enjoying our mountain community. Just be polite to the locals and pack out what you pack in.
